Oh. My. Lord.
Maybe I'll make some lil paintings/drawings based on these. Guys (girls), I've been cleaning and painting and lino-cutting and and and and trying to "GET IT" again. And also drinking coffee. That part is pivotal.
I CAN DO IT.
WE CAN DO IT.
Ah!

a house in a mountain
so, i think i've found the commune that we will all move into together someday. a girl can dream, can't she?
built into the side of a mountain in Vals, Switzerland, this home brings both nature and glamor together for quite an incredible union, i'd say. damn! the intent of SeARCH and Christian Muller architects was to not block the breathtaking views of the land and surrounding mountains.

I want to go to to there.
One of the few friends I made in Minneapolis was a man named Sho. He was a wonderful person, and I attribute that entirely to the fact that he was born and raised outside of Tokyo. When we came back to Pgh, I downloaded the Rosetta Stone for Japanese: Level One. Turns out, Japanese is a difficult language to learn...but, I still really want to go to Japan...someday.

winter time means its time to watch love actually
its slowing down...winter has set in. time to wake up to a cup of tea and never leave bed. or, spend the day in my favorite chair in chicago with a fire roaring, a cup of hot cider and whiskey, my favorite book, a cashmere throw and a platter of cheeses, meats, nuts and olives.

dream of dancing
Revisiting some dance pieces I love. The first two images are from Inbal Pinto's "Shaker". I saw the piece last year in Pittsburgh and it was amazing. They're a really creative dance company from Israel. The second set of images is from Trenton Doyle Hancock's collaberation with the Austin Ballet Company, "Cult of Color: Call to Color". Never saw it but the costumes and set design looks awesome. I would like to do something like that one day. Those are probably the best dance costumes I've ever seen.

Attn Pgh Ladies:
Casablanca, the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern mish-mash store next door to Avalon is going out of business. EVERY. THING. MUST. GO. They have some great leather bags there that started at 350 - 250 but are now 60% off. I got this one for $120... what can I say, I have a soft spot for good luggage.
They also had some in black, various sizes, and some awesome carpet bag ones with a fabric panel on the front. Just saying, if you're interested, head over quickly.
There are also crazy mirrors, lots of decorative boxes, lots of furniture/dishware, hookas (to lure young male college freshmen to your lawn).... I think I'm going back for an end table.
get it!

Museum of Contemporary Art's 30th Anniversary Gala
Lady Gaga playing on a Damien Hirst customized piano. A performance piece conceptualized by Francesco Vezzoli.
And who cares about The Cobrasnake, plus one. And I guess they didn't get a memo that this was a gala, not a coke den.
Pharell Williams and Takashi Murakami. What is happening to the art world???
also go check out the video from it.

what the fuck is up with Lady Gaga's accent? I thought she was from New Jersey, or by there. Faker.
minimalism, say wha!

P.S. I thought of the best art assignment, if I were a painting teacher, when I was high last night. Every week for the whole semester the students, including boys (maybe they could paint their toes, but that's easier), would have to paint there nails differently. At the end of each week the students would document and by the end of the semester they'd have this awesome photo book. But, the catch is and why it would be good for a painting class is that if they can paint their nails, including right hand, flawlessly by the end, then they will have the steadiest hand. When actually painting they'd be able to paint anything! It's all about the steady and controlled hand. Of course I would only think of this when I'm high, but I think it's an awesome idea! I'm going to do it myself! Right now I have magenta purple interchanged with a green pewter color. Before I had deep red with dark gray at the tips, and before teal.
